How should you care for you braai cylinder? It is the one item that is essential for camping and safari trips and thus the piece of equipment that you want to keep well maintained at all times. We share a few guidelines below to help you get the most from you braai cylinder for years to come.

For safety purposes only fill the braai cylinder at an authorized LPG gas dealer and before taking the cylinder make sure it is filled to the correct level. You will find useful tips on what to do in the case of overfilling on our site under product care. Do not use an overfilled cylinder.

Always ensure that the dust proof cap is replaced after filling and remove the control key when you store the cylinder. Never use it near a heat source and do not store it in a place where the temperature may rise excessively.

Proper care of the equipment will prolong its lifespan. It is therefore important to also take it to an LPG gas dealer once or twice every year for a maintenance check. You may need to replace the valve, control key, hose, adapter or the dust proof cap. Do so without hesitation, not only for safety purposes, but also to ensure that the cylinder can be used for a long time.
